Seydisfjordur, Iceland

Introduction


This quaint fishing village, of about 700 inhabitants, is an ideal stop after cruising the magnificent Faroe Islands. The scenic setting is home to numerous waterfalls, lagoons and deep fjords. The town is known for its old wooden buildings and more recent colorful Norwegian - Styled houses.

The ship docks in harbor and the town is easily accessed by foot!

Seydisfjordur can be easily accessed by foot. However, accessing some of the main vistas requires shuttles.


Sightseeing

In town, take a walking tour of the old wooden buildings with their vibrant colors, or stop by a museum, arts centre, or the only two cinemas in East Iceland. Visit the Fjardara River for breathtaking views, or take a stroll on a gorgeous coastal trial.
