Description ~ Knitting in the Round - Two Circulars & Magic Loop
Still using the good old DPNs? Nothing against them, but it’s good to know what else is out there! You can work small circumferences with two circular needles or even one long one or use three small needles with a short cable (FlexiFlips or Addi Crasy Trio). We will try each method and discuss which one is suitable for which kind of project.

Martina will introduce a new, special design she has created for participants of this knitting cruise! It will be themed after our cruise destination. If you sign up for this series of classes, we will inform you in time about what yarn, needles and materials to bring. In the class, Martina will explain and demonstrate the techniques involved and walk you through everything step-by-step. The printed pattern is included for participants.
Quadra Cowl

Description ~ Quadra Cowl
Quadra Cowl is a little magic: You work two squares that seamlessly turn into a double-layered cowl due to some special maneuvers that you will perform after half the cowl is finished. In the first part of this six-hour-class, we will set up the first square, practice lifted increases and knitting in the round with Magic Loop (or a technique of your choice). We will come back together after a couple of days to do the magic maneuvers together. The printed pattern is included.

This is one of my designs I am most proud of: An adaptable hat that you fit to the recipient’s head during the knitting and that comes together with an intriguing 3-dimensional design. It may be a bit challenging at some points, but this class will walk you through it: We will make a mini-version of the hat so you will be able to tackle the real thing with confidence. The

Description ~ Provisional and Two-sided Cast-ons
Provisional and two-sided cast-ons are useful for sock-toes of toe-up socks, for projects that are to be joined at some point and for shawls like my patterns “Nuvem“ or “Polarlys.“ Provisional and Two-sided Cast-ons can be achieved by different methods like a crochet chain, Judy’s Magic Cast-on and the Winding Cast-on by Åsa Tricosa. We will practice each method and discuss which one is suitable for which kind of project.
