Description ~ Bands and Buttonholes

This course will discuss how to pick up bands that don’t pucker or flare for necklines and armholes as well as front bands. How to place buttonholes and various buttonhole techniques will be discussed as well.

Materials Needed ~ Bands and Buttonholes

• Medium weight yarn of a different color than yarn used for homework swatches

• Needles appropriate for medium weight yarn

• Scissors

Swatches for picking up stitches along vertical, horizontal and curved edges as well as swatches for buttonholes (patterns provided later.)
