Knitting in the round is fast, fun, and often preferred.. until you have too few stitches to complete the circle. Traditionally the problem was solved with double pointed needles, but they offer many pitfalls such as gauge problems, ladders, and the inevitable dropped stitches. Modern technology has improved needles by leaps and bounds to the point where there is a bewildering range of options for the knitter. 2 circs, Magic Loop, traveling loop, short circs, flexi-flips, curved needles.. How do they work and which is best for your situation? Alissa will also throw in some tips to avoid those dreaded ladders and other common small circumference problems.
