These pockets are suitable for regular single thickness knitted fabrics, they feel rather miraculous! Pockets are worked and completed without ever breaking the yarn. Using only a single yarn and by means of working and slipping stitches, students will build and grow a side opening pocket, complete with a selvage edged, garter stitch border for a fully finished effect. We will focus on both a vertical opening and then an angled opening.

Materials Needed ~ Seamless DK Pockets For All

• Two double pointed needles (or one circular) of sizes 4 - 5 mm/US #6 - 8.
• 20g each solid color smooth Worsted weight yarn (or heavier) in two colors.
• A couple of yards of a third similar weight brightly contrasting yarn.
• Scissors and crochet hook and usual knitting paraphernalia.

In a light colored, smooth yarn (as described above) cast on 16 stitches. Knit 4 rows (garter stitch) and stocking stitch for a further 4 rows.
